Sodajerker podcast turns 50

By Simon Barber on December 13, 2013 — 1 min read

It’s that time of the year when people start to look back and reflect, and there’s no better moment for me to do so given that I published my 50th podcast this week: a conversation with the great British songwriter and producer Nick Lowe. In two years, Brian and I have managed to welcome some of the most successful songwriters in the world to our independently produced show, including recent chats with the likes of Suzanne VegaRickie Lee JonesRon SexsmithNeil FinnJohnny MarrAllen Toussaint and They Might Be Giants.

It was a real treat for us to chat with Nick and we hope you’ll take a listen. We think it’s important to have in-depth conversations about the art and craft of songwriting, and judging by the download numbers that the podcast is achieving, and our recent appearances in a number of new books, our listeners seem to agree. So thank you!

We’ve already begun work on four new shows for 2014, featuring some incredible artists who will be sharing their writing processes with us. Until then, i’d like to wish you a very peaceful festive season and a deliriously happy new year.
